Heralded Signings: Stephanie Perkins Book Signing

2:43 am

Alright!

You guys probably know Stephanie Perkins and her books right? No?
*Sigh* Well, . . . She wrote these amazing Young Adult books like Anna and the French Kiss and Lola and the Boy Next Door and her upcoming book called Isla and the Happily Ever After (Which will be released on August 14 of this year) Which I will most likely be camping in line for when it comes out.

I had both of her books on my To-Read list for a while and then I checked my Facebook one day and BAM! Stephanie Perkins book signing!

To be honest, I convinced a lot of my school friends to attend this event including my mate Luigi. (Who at first, thought it was meh. But now he's totally hooked!)

As most of you know, going to book signings are fun because you get to have your book/s signed, you get to meet the author/s and you get to meet some awesome people and your mates but you know what's even more fun? Camping out in line with a couple of mates. That's right, I'M CAMPING IN LINE FOR THE BOOK SIGNING.
(I'm thinking of making a live blog during the 11-14 hours of camping. Only time will tell! So, WATCH OUT!)
What could be more fun then a couple of mates just talking and reading and just chilling in line while you wait for the book store to open?

I personally hope that Stephanie Perkins would give out ARCs (Advance Reader's Copies) for her upcoming book Isla and the Happily Ever After  for the first 5 attendees! I wonder if I can get it signed as well? I'm already there with Isla. lol

I'll start camping at about 8:00 - 10:00 PM (July 5th) with a mate of mine from Camp Half-Blood Philippines, DemiGod Win (And his awesome blog Machination of My Muddled Mind! Where he does accurate book reviews and he also did a post about Jenny Han's booksigning last June 21!)
(Check out his blog for the book reviews of Anna and the French Kiss and Lola and the Boy Next Door)

If you want coherent book reviews about these books, you can find them here. Cause I'm currently too busy with school to write my own take on Anna's chaotic relationships and Lola's awesome wigs.

MY RECAP ON THIS EVENT CAN BE FOUND HERE

If you see me in line, please don't hesitate to talk to me! :D

ABOUT ANNA AND THE FRENCH KISS
Anna was looking forward to her senior year in Atlanta, where she has a great job, a loyal best friend, and a crush on the verge of becoming more. So she's less than thrilled about being shipped off to boarding school in Paris—until she meets Étienne St. Clair. Smart, charming, beautiful, Étienne has it all . . . including a serious girlfriend.

But in the City of Light, wishes have a way of coming true. Will a year of romantic near-misses end with their long-awaited French kiss? Stephanie Perkins keeps the romantic tension crackling and the attraction high in a debut guaranteed to make toes tingle and hearts melt.

ABOUT LOLA AND THE BOY NEXT DOOR
In this companion novel to Anna and the French Kiss, two teens discover that true love may be closer than they think.

Budding designer Lola Nolan doesn't believe in fashion . . . she believes in costume. The more expressive the outfit—more sparkly, more fun, more wild—the better. But even though Lola's style is outrageous, she's a devoted daughter and friend with some big plans for the future. And everything is pretty perfect (right down to her hot rocker boyfriend) until the dreaded Bell twins, Calliope and Cricket, return to the neighborhood.

When Cricket—a gifted inventor—steps out from his twin sister's shadow and back into Lola's life, she must finally reconcile a lifetime of feelings for the boy next door.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Stephanie Perkins has always worked with books—first as a bookseller, then as a librarian, and now as a novelist. On weekdays, she can be found at her desk, typing away, downing cups of coffee and tea. On the weekend, she is at the movies, waiting for the actors to kiss. She believes all novels and films should have more kissing.
